Forging the way for Pulp and Paper manufacturers of the future
The paper industry has long thrived at the expense of the natural forests as trees that have stood for over 50 years have been chopped down to make paper. At Advance Agro, however, our desire to preserve the natural forest led us to develop a new technology and process that uses fast-growing trees as the raw material for our paper and which helps support the agricultural tradition of Thailand. Instead of planting forests of our trees, we work with Thai farmers to grow our special eucalyptus trees in the empty spaces between their traditional crops. These trees mature in 3 to 5 years, providing Advance Agro with raw material for its paper and the farmers with an additional income – all while preserving the natural forests.
